Bok’s Kitchen by Hidden Chefs is an aesthetic fusion cafe with bread bowls, Thai-Inspired pasta and more

Here’s a pick-me-up for the week: “Everything’s gonna B.OK” – with a warm bread bowl stew at Bok’s Kitchen, serving up delicious fusion food.

The café has a minimalist, Muji feel, with white walls, concrete flooring, wooden furniture and their slogan, “Everything’s gonna B.OK” printed on the wall in a simple font.

Dig into flavourful red wine beef stew served in a crispy bread bowl (S$15), or let a creamy chicken stew bread bowl(S$12) keep you warm on a cold day, especially in the rainy weather. Try the Thai-inspired Seabass Linguine Pasta (S$14.90), which tastefully combines Thai and Italian cuisine, with linguine pasta tossed with the café’s signature homemade Thai sauce, and grilled seabass, red onions and cilantro.

Their Salmon Teriyaki Rice Bowl (S$14.90) is also a must-try, with oven-baked salmon drizzled in teriyaki sauce on a fluffy bed of Italian spiced rice, topped with edamame beans, sous vide egg, corn, and radish.  We’re in love with their Char Siew Rice Bowl (S$10), which has the café’s signature char siew served with pickled radish, sous vide egg on top of Italian spiced rice.

Local dishes also feature on the menu, which has prawn paste chicken (S$7), carrot cake fries (S$10), and the classic curry chicken (S$9.90) among other local selections. The dishes are all plated aesthetically, with IG-worthy rice bowls and cute bread bowls

What’s a meal without sides? Their crispy enoki mushroom bites (S$5) and crispy pork with Thai sweet chilli (S$8) will leave you wanting seconds. Then finish off your meal with a refreshing Passionfruit Ice Fizz (S$4.80) or an Ice Lemon Mint Tea (S$2.80), and soak in the tranquil atmosphere.

Bok’s Kitchen is the perfect way to unwind and savour a good meal for a rainy day, or if you’re craving fusion cuisine.
