Popular American fast food chain Chick-fil-A has officially landed in Singapore!
Well, not in the form of a physical store (for now…) but a limited-time pop-up from 26 to 28 June 2024 at ANIPLUS Café in The Esplanade Mall.
If you managed to reserve a seat, here’s what you can expect on your visit:
Firstly, you’ll get a serving of Waffle Potato Fries, waffle-cut potatoes cooked in canola oil, and sprinkled with sea salt. I liked how fluffy the insides were, but would’ve preferred for the exterior to be a lot more crispy and golden brown.
The star of the show, the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, sees breaded boneless chicken breast cooked in 100% peanut oil, and served on a soft toasted bun with slices of dill pickle.
I may be “team chicken thigh” any day, but I loved how the chicken breast was tender, fairly juicy, and also really well-seasoned.
Your meal will come with a drink — choose between Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, and bottled water — and a sauce of your choice (while stocks last).
There are four different flavours to choose from; the chicken sandwich paired exceptionally well with the signature Chick-fil-A Sauce, a classic dipping sauce that reminded me of a sweet, smoky, and tangy mustard.
if you’re a fan of Wingstop’s ranch, you’ll probably like the Garden Herb Ranch Sauce, a creamy buttermilk ranch with notes of garlic, onion, and herbs — I liked it so much, I found myself dipping almost all my fries in it.
Otherwise, go for the Honey Mustard Sauce, which combines the sweetness of honey with the robust, spicy flavour of mustard; as well as the Sweet & Spicy Sriracha Sauce, a sweet, piquant, and mildly spicy sauce that even folks with a lower spice tolerance will be able to enjoy.
Dine-in guests will also get to make their meal extra rewarding by participating in fun activities (like striking a pose at this interactive photo wall). Simply present your completed activity card to a member of the team to a redeem a free gift, while stocks last.
Didn’t manage to secure a dine-in reservation? Fret not, you can also pop by for takeaways from 11am between 26 and 28 June, on a first-come, first-served basis, capped at 200 guests daily.
Each guest will be able to get their hands on the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, Waffle Potato Fries and an accompanying drink, for takeaway only, while stocks last. You will also be able to donate to Community Chest on-site, and Chick-fil-A will match your donation dollar for dollar.
