Seeking a new hangout spot in the perpetually buzzy Tanjong Pagar area? I gotchu.

The charming neighbourhood of Duxton Hill is now home to Christina’s, a “stylishly laid-back beverage-forward space” on the ground floor of Mondrian Singapore Duxton that’s unlike the traditional hotel bar, specialty cafe or all-day dining restaurant.

By day, Christina’s is a beautiful light-filled space for brunch-goers seeking refuge from the crowds.

Sip on specialty coffee and fresh-pressed juices as you tuck into brunch plates that are served throughout the day until 4pm. Think healthy acai bowls and variations of eggs on toast — think Chili Crab Scrambled Eggs (S$18) and a locally-inspired Kaya Toast (S$16) with blue cheese.

I’ve got my eye on the eggs Benedict (S$22), that’s been jazzed up with miso glazed beef cheek, spinach, and nori hollandaise.

By night, it transforms into a vibey wine and cocktail haven accompanied by a menu of small tapas-style plates.

Start off with the Toasted Sourdough Bread (S$8) with whipped yeast butter and the luscious Burrata (S$22), both of which complement each other excellently.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Crispy Chilli Crab Bonbon (S$14), fried crab croquettes served in an actual crab shell, livened up by chilli crisp and yogurt.

As for mains, skip the Shio Koji-cured Wagyu Bavette Steak (S$30) and go for the crowd favourite Rendang Crispy Fried Chicken Wings (S$16), Sesame Prawn Toast (S$22) or Bulgogi Burger (S$28).

But it’s the selection of natural wine and locally-inspired Cocktails (S$23 each) that really take the cake. For instance, the way-too-drinkable Asam Boi Highball, composed of salted plum, peach honey and coconut, is one you won’t be able to stop drinking.

If you’re big on flavours like salted caramel, banana, cinnamon and anise, go for the Spiced Banana Daiquiri, a spin on the iconic classic cocktail, the epitome of the phrase “sugar, spice, and everything nice”.

Would rather drink your fill? Swing by for Beats at Christina’s every Friday and Saturday (save for the last Friday of the month) from 8pm–10pm and enjoy free-flow natural wines (S$88++, inclusive of a snack tray) as you vibe to live DJs dishing out LoFi music, jazz, funk, downtempo hip hop, electro and more.

So, whether you’re an early bird or a night owl, Christina’s at Duxton will welcome you with open arms!

Reservations can be made here.
