Opened by the team behind one-Michelin-starred 28Wilkie and Twenty Eight Cafe, the casual bicycle-friendly cafe & bistro in Redhill serves up Western brunch classics with an Asian flair.

The spacious interior, complete with plenty of natural light and bicycle memorabilia, makes Musette an all-encompassing meeting place for cyclists, foodies, and coffee lovers alike.

Take in the wide selection of speciality coffee, cold brew tea, juices, cocktails, mocktails, and wine, and choose a pastry or two from the selection of viennoiseries on display.

I’ll take a Yuzu Lemon Danish (S$7) and a Flat White (from S$6), please.

Although you can find the standard offerings like Avocado Toast and Big Breakfast on the All Day Breakfast menu, we highly recommend the umami local-inspired Otah Toast (S$19).

Musette has also jumped on the sando trend with the Ebi Katsu Sando (S$20) and Breakfast Sando (S$19) — loaded sandwiches that’ll leave you feeling hale and hearty.

Get in on some sweet jiggle action with the Pandan Souffle (S$22), served alongside homemade kaya, coconut ice cream, and sea salt gula melaka.

From 11am onwards, you’ll also get to refuel with Mains like the creamy Mushroom Orzo Pasta (S$22), Beef Burger (S$26), and Chicken Pesto Pasta (S$20).

Those in the mood for a teatime treat can count on in-house patisserie, Kōbō by melissa, which specialises in timeless favourites and signature creations using Japanese techniques.

The signature Kaya Butter Roll Cake — ⁣fragrant housemade kaya and French butter cubes encased within soft and fluffy Japanese sponge — has been a hit with customers so far.

Oh, and if you’re curious, a musette is a small lightweight cotton shoulder bag, containing food and drink given to riders in a feed zone during a cycle race — very fitting.
