Anyone familiar with the local home-based business scene would’ve heard of Sinfulcakes, a popular Muslim-owned patisserie best known for its macarons, cheesecakes, and sweet treats.
With their halal desserts having graced countless birthday parties, weddings, and gatherings, Sinfulcakes has finally opened a physical brick-and-mortar store with dine-in seats along Beach Road.
The space is decked out in whimsical hues of pastel pink and blue, making it the perfect place to indulge in one’s dessert-fueled fantasies.
Sinfulcakes’ newest creation, the Cookie Mak (S$15 per slice), is a massive soft cookie cake enveloping chocolate chips, Maltesers, honeycomb, and a thick, fudgy ganache core.
A scoop of homemade Earl Grey or Pistachio ice cream takes it up a notch, transforming the already decadent dessert into the amusingly named Cookie Mak Cow.
Expect the crowds to drop by the bestselling artisanal Macarons in flavours like Creme Brulee, Ovomaltine, and Valrhona Dulce, as well as Lotus Biscoff Basque Cheesecake. Contrary to popular belief, burnt cheesecakes are still relevant.
You can also find Macaron Ice Cream Sandwiches, assorted Tarts, savoury Sourdough Buns, and Cinnamon Buns (some of which are slathered in earl grey and honey salted caramel sauce). Drool-worthy.
