Want to have an afternoon tea sesh with the girls, but are tired of the standard desserts? I have just the thing — authentic Turkish high tea at Sofra Turkish Cafe & Restaurant.
Located at Marina Square, the halal-certified restaurant boasts a stunning view of Singapore’s skyline (so your experience is extra bougie). It’s pretty popular among fans of Turkish cuisine, so you already know the food’s going to be good.
Their high tea set for two is priced at S$47++, which comes out to just S$23.50++ per person! The menu features signature Turkish delicacies, desserts and a variety of teas — perfect if you’re one of those who wants to try everything at a restaurant (like me).
You can expect bite-sized portions of savoury dishes like Lahmacun (flatbread with minced meat, U.P. S$19.50), Pide (U.P. S$18.50), and Kisir (wheat salad), which is a menu item only available in the tea set.
For those of you with a sweet tooth, the Turkish desserts are bound to delight — think Rice Pudding (U.P. S$8.25), Cezerye (another exclusive menu item!) and more. Patrons also rave about their Baklava (U.P. S$8.20) and Chocolate Pudding (U.P. S$6.50), so you can defo look forward to sampling those popular desserts at an affordable rate.
As if that weren’t already attractive enough, the set also comes with authentic Turkish teas that are served in elegant traditional metal pots — chef’s kiss, I know. Do note that the high tea sets are only available on weekdays from 2 to 6pm!
