Launched on 21 September 2022, Subway’s Japanese Curry sub brings a whole new meaning to the phrase “power up”, with the scrumptious sub feeding into Singaporeans’ inner Kiai (気合) — energising spirit — to fuel them from within, and channel their favourite anime or manga character!

The sub features sweet, savoury, and mildly spicy sauce drizzled over a crispy breaded chicken cutlet or chunky strips of steak. Balance it out with crisp vegetables and you’re in for a mouthwatering treat!

Choose between the Japanese Curry Chicken (from S$8.50 for 6-inch) and the Japanese Curry Beef (from S$8.90 for 6-inch), both of which are available as subs, salads, and/or wraps.

These sensational new subs are joined by the beloved Coconut Lemon Cookie (from S$1.40), a sweet and citrusy dessert infused with lemon extract and crunchy coconut — perfect for cutting through those rich curry flavours.

Subway fans can also #PowerUpFromWithin and fulfil their anime dreams with a line-up of exciting activities. Keep an eye out for selected Subway restaurants (including Subway Suntec City) that will be undergoing manga transformations.

From 5 to 18 October 2022, fans can enjoy 25% off Subway Japanese Curry subs (U.P S$8.50 and S$8.90 for a 6-inch Japanese Curry Chicken and Beef sub respectively) when they:

  • Cosplay as their favourite anime character, visit a Subway restaurant, and take a photo of themselves doing the ‘Kiai’ pose as proof.
  • Post the image or video and tag @subway.singapore and #PowerUpFromWithin on the platform of their choice (Facebook/Instagram/TikTok) and show it to the counter as proof.

From 26 September to 9 October 2022, fans also can look out for interactive ads situated around the island (Dhoby Ghaut, Boon Keng and Bedok MRT stations) and participate in the following game:

  • Match the outline of the ‘Kiai’ pose displayed on the interactive bus panel.
  • After participation, they will receive their ‘Kiai’ moments as photos and will stand a chance to win prizes when they share these moments and tag @subway.singapore on their social media pages, along with the hashtag #PowerUpFromWithin.

Don’t sleep on this Japanese Curry sub — head on down to your nearest Subway outlet today!
