Nowadays, all-you-can-eat buffets priced below S$30 per person are few and far between, but they can be found, only if you know where to look.
One example is Yummo Chow, a relatively hidden cafe offering one of the most value-for-money a la carte buffets we’ve seen in a while.
Head on down to Hotel NuVE Heritage along Purvis Street if you’d like tuck into unlimited meats, fish, pastas, and sides at their 90-minute A La Carte Buffet Menu, which is available daily.
Selections from land and sea include the likes of Salmon (Pan Seared, Teriyaki, Mentaiko), Oven Baked Dory, Fish & Chips, Chicken Chop (Teriyaki and Black Pepper), BBQ Pork Ribs (+S$2), and even Australian Sirloin and Ribeye (+S$2) Steak.
You can also find Mushroom or Bacon Aglio Olio, Chilli Crab Pasta (+S$8), and Carbonara, coupled with sides like Mentaiko Mayo Prawn (+S$2), Fried Chicken Wings, Spam Fries, Chicken Karaage, and Soup of the Day. It’ll (quite literally) be a mouthful!
Prices for the buffet are as follows:
- Weekdays: S$28.90 for adults, S$22.90 for children (from five to 12 years old; kids under four eat for free)
- Weekends: S$29.90 for adults, S$25.90 for children
Given that the mains served here are all priced upwards from S$18.90, this is very bang for your buck. Drinks, however, are not free-flow (even though they used to be), so you can expect to fork out an extra S$5 for Fresh Watermelon Juice or Beer.
Yummo Chow also runs other promotions like set lunches for just S$14.90++, but this a la carte buffet special is still your best bet if you’re a big eater.
